Touchpoint Group Passes First Annual Audit for ISO 27001:2013 Certification
In 2020, Touchpoint Group became one of the only service providers in CX Management within New Zealand to be awarded the ISO 27001:2013 certification by implementing a robust ISO 27001 compliant ISMS. In June 2021, thanks to our dedicated Chief Information Security Officer, Karen Leisenfeld and her team; Touchpoint Group successfully passed it’s first annual audit.
What is ISO 27001?
ISO 27001 is an internationally recognised Information Security Management System (ISMS) standard for ensuring the safety of managing sensitive information. The standard provides a framework detailing how a company should manage confidential and sensitive information they hold and acquire. The certification is accredited by an independent body following an in-depth audit. This ensures that the business and their clients can be confident that the data stored is handled safely and securely across the organisation. What an ISO 27001 audit involves
An ISO 27001 audit is implemented to check that an organisation continually meets the defined criteria for the certification. Key elements of an annual audit undertaken by an independent auditor reviews:
- The Information Security Management System (ISMS) and tests elements of it to ensure they meet the requirements of the standard
- The company is fulfilling its own information requirements and objectives for the ISMS
- The policies, processes and other controls are practical, efficient and in use
