Touchpoint Helps Boost
IDG Communications' Email Uptake

IDG Communications Ltd, New Zealand's leading provider of information
services on information technology, has seen an initial 20% increase
in online newsletter subscriptions since migrating their subscription
process to Touchpoint four months ago.
IDG Communications selected Touchpoint to provide their email marketing
management software and services after a review process that included
international suppliers currently used by IDG Worldwide. Says Mark
Evans, IDG Online Business Manager, "We selected Touchpoint
because the service compared well with overseas options and offered
more flexibility as well as local support. Touchpoint's web-based
ASP model lets us be self-sufficient and outsource the management
of the platform while still integrating the system with our internal
databases."
It's IDG's aim to better reach tech-savvy business executives and
IT professionals with information that helps them succeed in today's
technology-driven environment. Therefore, they're using Touchpoint
to manage a stronger newsletter offering and upgrade its services
to HTML. "The migration to Touchpoint took only 3 weeks, with
the Touchpoint and IDG teams working well together to implement
the service smoothly and quickly," says Evans.
The results have been impressive, with a 20% increase in subscriptions
to newsletters including Unlimited Sharetrack (a weekly investment
newsletter), IDG Fryup (comment on the big news of the week), IDGNet
Top News (IT-related news) and IDG Virus and Security Watch. (See
