Relations NZ gets straight to the point with Touchpoint

Professional Public Relations New Zealand (PPR NZ) has partnered
with online campaign management company Touchpoint to deliver highly
targeted and personalised communication to its clients' key stakeholders.
PPR NZ managing director Liane Donovan says that Touchpoint's suite
of products complements the range of services it currently offers,
including strategic corporate communication counsel; financial and
investor relations; issues management; consumer marketing activities;
and media liaison, training, and production.
"Our business is about managing stakeholder relationships,"
says Ms. Donovan. "And several of our clients are increasingly
using digital communications to facilitate these relationships."
Touchpoint's online services are enabling PPR to personalise and
evaluate its online communication initiatives, with the overall
objective of helping companies get closer to who they want to talk
to.
Ms Donovan emphasises that there is more to digital communications
than sending newsletters and product announcements via email.
"Email is just one channel - it's how we customise both the
medium and the message to enhance a relationship that counts."
Touchpoint will also provide PPR with reporting mechanisms that
measure the effectiveness of its digital communications, while at
the same time permitting the evaluation of concurrent communication
programmes run through more traditional channels.
"And this will add significant value to our clients' communication
objectives," says Ms Donovan.
PPR will use Touchpoint across all business sectors to reach the
desired market segment, which could be anything from a company's
suppliers and distributors to its shareholders, affiliates and consumers.
"For example, why send an email newsletter to someone about
your landscaping business if they live in an inner city apartment
block and do not have a garden?"
"But if you know the person visited your landscaping exhibit
at the Ellerslie Flower Show last month, and that they've been to
your store before, then they are more likely to be interested in
your offer for a free landscaping consultation."
PPR has partnered with Touchpoint as part of the company's newly
formed partnership programme, where agencies can enter a licensing
agreement that allows access to Touchpoint applications remotely,
over the Internet.
PPR New Zealand is currently the only public relations agency that
holds a license to use the system.
