Position Overview
Touchpoint is at the leading edge of direct marketing in Australasia and provides business solutions to marketers using the Touchpoint Interactive Marketing Platform, a SaaS delivered suite of products.
Touchpoint works alongside a select number of advertising agency partners as a key supporting channel to the activities of marketers.
Touchpoint is becoming the industry standard tool used by sophisticated marketers. The drive by marketers for improving customer service, internal accountability and measurement help to push continuing innovation in the Touchpoint Platform.
This position as a Digital Solutions Consultant you are responsible for client relationships and management, sales forecasts, pre-sales consultation/solution design to meet clients business problems and design and price solutions for delivery by the Professional Services team. This team consists of Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers and Testers.
You will be focused on working with clients to provide digital consultancy to help clients understand online marketing and devise solutions of what will work best for them.
You must have an extensive online marketing background, developed online digital strategies. Candidates from backgrounds delivering solutions that typically combined technology products with services, consulting and customisation will find this role familiar. Previous marketing consultancy experience would be a bonus.
The marketing world is relatively new to using technology in a systematic and planned way. Position Responsibilities
The consultant will play an integral role throughout all facets of a project lifecycle and will have input into the long term strategy for clients where applicable.
Digital Solutions Consultant
- Account management of assigned clients
- Play a key client facing role alongside the General Manager to translate the business problem into a workable solution using the Touchpoint Platform
- Collaboration with Agency teams to design solutions to briefs. Manage and grow partner agency relationships
- Liaison with Prospective Client and General Manager/CTO/BA to determine requirements
- Support Account Service team to prepare solution outline and prepare cost estimates or quotes (where you are not the Account Manager)
- Accountability for profitability targets for any quoted work
- Briefing of Professional Services team and support to deliver client projects
- Touchpoint Platform presentations and demonstrations
- Grow relationships within clients/agencies to acquire new hosted clients onto the Touchpoint Platform
- Assist the GM in responding to sales leads and briefs from new leads, and manage these through to a successful signoff and implementation.
- Preparing and managing pipeline forecasts on a weekly basis
- Signoff invoices
- Accountability for profitability targets for overall client revenues
- Management of commercial aspects of agency relationships
- Presentations to agencies and industry speaking opportunities
- Maintaining strong relationships within marketing industry and associations
Position Requirements
Experience/Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in Account Management/Consulting or Project Management in direct marketing and/or interactive industry
- Proven record of working with large clients, analyzing business requirements and providing solutions
- Previous experience should include a strong consultative approach to sales or actual consulting role
- Good understanding of direct marketing and interactive marketing principles
- Client facing people skills essential
- Experience in working with a product or application environment
