Due to strong company growth a new role has arisen for an Intermediate Java Developer to join our client-focused development team in providing solutions to a variety of clients in the marketing/advertising industry within New Zealand.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience building web based applications using Java/J2EE technologies with an attention to detail and a passion to be a part of a solution focused team.

Position Responsibilities
  • Development of client projects
  • Development and maintenance of J2EE-based application software components
  • Development and maintenance of application framework
  • Part of team maintaining and supporting the Touchpoint application, framework and client applications

Experience/Qualifications
  • 2 - 3+ years Java/J2EE Experience in commercial environment
  • Used to working in a team environment delivering Web based solutions
  • Database RDBMS skills in Oracle or MS SQL Server
  • Exposure to J2EE technologies (JSP, Servlet, JDBC, JMS, EJB, Tomcat)
  • Experience with Web Application Development
  • Some Linux/Oracle experience desirable
  • User acceptance testing
  • Exposure to tools such as JUnit, Ant, Eclipse, source control tools
  • Exposure to Java frameworks such as Struts, JSF, Spring
  • Linux / Unix experience useful
  • Customer service experience useful
  • Computer Science Degree or equivalent

  • Outstanding technical skills and troubleshooting abilities
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
